Whether it’s to London or Spain, Italy or Australia, your international move will run like clockwork, thanks to Certified Movers expertise and outstanding customer service. Our International Relocation Consultants (IRC) will map out every detail of your move, providing you with the best possible options for loading, transportation and shipping of your household possessions and automobiles while also serving as your single point of contact.

We can also assist with all required customs documentation. And you can trust that our highly trained packers and movers will make sure that all your things arrive at your destination safely.

Certified Movers recommends that you begin your planning process at least three months prior to your international move. There are many options to choose from, and the sooner you begin planning, the more time you’ll have to carefully weigh and discuss your choices.

When shipping overseas, you can opt for transportation by air or sea. Moving by sea takes approximately six to eight weeks, depending on the destination. Your things will be protected with special export wrap, designed for a high rate of handling, loaded into heavy-duty air-sea containers, and then moved by truck or rail from your home to the port of departure, where they will be loaded on to the vessel. At the port of discharge, your possessions will be cleared through customs. Certified Movers partner agent abroad will then transport your container to your new home, unload your items, and return the container to its warehouse.

Moving by air is faster than by sea, but it is generally more expensive. However, depending on the size of your move, it may be more economical to ship via air because it may eliminate the expense associated with staying at a hotel while your possessions are en route.

Certified Movers can help you make these and other important decisions. We would be delighted to visit your home and prepare a complete estimate for your international move. Whichever you choose, you’ll be able to track the shipment of your items via the Internet through Certified Movers In-Transit Service.
